Authentic is an award-winning digital agency specializing in fundraising, advertising, online organizing, and more. We lead this industry with a focus on developing unique and creative digital programs for our clients. We are looking for a Temporary Senior Digital Strategist, Paid Media to join our team for a limited term of nine (9) months.

Senior Digital Strategists are expected to run point on leading a book of clients, working independently to meet client needs with minimal monitoring from management– to run digital programs that meet our award-winning standard. This position reports to the Director of Paid Media and pays a fixed starting salary of $78,000 annually, per our company’s transparent employee compensation. Benefits include 100% employer covered health insurance, 401K with employer contribution, flexible vacation and sick leave, and more.

This is a union position represented by the Campaign Workers Guild.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients for paid media work at the company
  • Contribute to preparing client call agendas
  • Lead on answering client queries, drafting client memos and other client communication
  • Develop fundraising projections and texting calendars for the paid media team
  • Translate media plans to actionable requests for our paid media buying team
  • Develop, set, and execute digital paid media strategy for our clients to meet their goals
  • Brainstorm and develop creative ideas for our clients, write, fact-check, and proofread content before it goes out
  • Help liaise between the client and the data team for purchases of email lists
  • Respond to topics in real-time by assisting in drafting ads in response to news stories that are breaking fast
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture that helps improve our work product
  • Ensure all content is rooted in the authentic and honest voice of the client, and that each program is unique, relevant, and timely
  • Tailor ad strategies to the unique needs of each client and circumstance. Think outside the box to rely less on traditional methods and look to innovate.
  • Work with designers, email strategists, and vendor partners to meet your client’s needs as necessary
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the issues and a passion for electing Democratic candidates and advancing the progressive movement
  • Experience in client management, copywriting, and digital ad campaigns
  • Experience developing strategy on digital advertising programs and/or fundraising texting programs for campaigns and causes
  • Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel
  • Able to work extended hours when needed/for rapid response moments
  • Eager to learn and self-educate
  • Committed to getting things right – pays close attention to detail and doesn’t stop trying

Authentic is looking for a Temporary Digital Strategist, Email to join our team for a limited term of nine (9) months. We are seeking a Digital Strategist to work as an account manager in our Email department. Authentic is an award-winning digital agency specializing in fundraising, advertising, creative and web strategy, online organizing, and more. We lead this industry with a focus on developing unique and creative digital programs for our clients.

This position pays a fixed starting salary of $65,000 annually, per our company’s transparent employee compensation, with opportunities to earn up to 6% raises during regular evaluation processes each year. Benefits include 100% employer covered health insurance, 401K with employer contribution, flexible vacation and sick leave, and more.

This is a union position represented by the Campaign Workers Guild.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as email lead on several client accounts — leading client calls, developing and explaining email strategy, communicating with the client, setting content calendars and goals, proofing and editing compelling emails, managing client approvals, executing email production, analyzing results, and optimizing based on performance and client feedback
  • Provide support across the team as needed or assigned — helping provide coverage on other client accounts if necessary
  • Ensure all content is rooted in the authentic and honest voice of the client, and that each program is unique to each client
  • Use reports and online platforms to track results
  • Develop and deliver professional reports, projections, and memos for clients
  • Regularly A/B test topics and tactics across clients, while remaining on top of digital trends and tools, ensuring we are proactive in innovating for our clients
  • Effectively manage client communication and expectations across multiple programs
  • Work collaboratively with other strategists, managers, and members of the paid media and content teams to develop holistic strategies to maximize results across clients
  • Proofread, edit and help fact check content before it goes to the client or to supporters
  • Brainstorm creative email ideas for clients and contribute to a collaborative team culture
  • Respond to news in real-time as needed, by drafting and producing rapid messages in response to fast-breaking news
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested

Qualifications:

  • Experience of writing fundraising emails.
  • Demonstrated understanding of email best practices including theories of change, creative writing, A/B testing, error-free copywriting, and email formatting
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks at once and meet tight deadlines as needed
  • Experience with using G-Suite tools including shared Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Google Docs
  • Experience with progressive tools such as ActBlue, NGP, or ActionKit.
  • Experience in reading and analyzing data
  • Willingness to contribute to a collaborative team culture
  • Committed to getting things right – pays close attention to detail and doesn’t stop trying
